| Platypus Walk Bidjigal Reserve |
| In Spring the colours and shapes of the wildflowers are there to admire. After rain there is a wide variety of fungi growing on the creek banks and fallen logs. No matter what the season there is the smooth bark of the angophoras and the delicate fronds of many varieties of ferns.
Creatures to be found in the creeks include yabbies, turtles, water dragons, frogs and fish. Many birds live in the reserve including parrots, cockatoos and lorikeets which use the many tree hollows for nesting. There are also sandstone cave/shelters which children find fascinating to explore. |
